Sikkim marks Pang Lhabsol to pay tribute to its protector deity
On August 28, Sikkim observed Pang Lhabsol, a highly significant festival that honors Mount Khangchendzonga, the state's protector deity. The event included intricate Buddhist rites, customary ceremonies, and the Pangtoed Chaam dance held at the Tsuklakhang Palace premises in Gangtok. The festivities were attended by Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.
