Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has pointed to the Madhya Pradesh government as the reason for the moong procurement issues that triggered protests by farmers in Bhopal. In a formal letter addressed to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Chouhan noted that the state has only managed to purchase approximately 60,000 metric tonnes of moong so far. He urged the state authorities to speed up the procurement process immediately.
