Sensex climbs 830 points as Indian markets rise for the second straight day
On Friday, Indian benchmark indices maintained their upward momentum for the second day in a row. By the closing bell, the Sensex had gained 827.57 points to settle at 77,569.39, while the Nifty rose by 244.10 points to reach 24,206.90. The IT sector drove the gains, fueled by a nearly 4% surge in TCS shares following the company's June-quarter earnings report.
