Sensex and Nifty dip in morning session due to US-Iran tensions

Indian stock markets opened lower on Friday as geopolitical tensions between the US and Iran weighed on investor sentiment. With Brent crude prices staying above $87 a barrel, there are growing worries for nations like India that rely on oil imports. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) continued their selling streak, pulling ₹510.69 crore out of the equity market. In the early session, the Sensex dropped 298.75 points to reach 77,760.21, while the Nifty slipped by 74.20 points to 24,321.90.
