Security forces eliminate top Lashkar commander after 5-day standoff in J&K
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leader Zakir Ganai lost his life during a gunfight with security personnel in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday. Ganai was one of two militants identified by surveillance footage in a thick orchard on July 3, which triggered an extensive search mission. The security operation has now reached its fifth day as troops persist in their hunt for the remaining LeT militant, Latif Bhatt.
