SEBI greenlights Jio Platforms IPO, potentially India's biggest

Reliance-backed Jio Platforms has received SEBI's clearance for its initial public offering, setting the stage for potentially the largest public issue in Indian history. According to the IPO documents submitted on June 19, the firm plans to offer as many as 27 crore fresh shares. Currently, Google and Meta own 33.57% and 17.71% of the company, respectively, and the offering is expected to generate approximately ₹37,700 crore.
