Scientists identify 'Mega-Earth' with 23 times the mass of our planet
Researchers have verified the existence of an exoplanet dating back approximately 170 million years that possesses 23.5 times the mass of Earth while measuring only 2.5 times its width. Known as GJ 523b, this world is categorized as a 'Mega-Earth' due to its significant density and lack of atmospheric gases, even given its large scale. This planet finishes one trip around its star in 17.75 days.
