SC Collegium replaces Rajasthan Acting Chief Justice following lawyer protests
The Supreme Court Collegium has decided to remove Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma from his role as the Acting Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court. In his place, the Collegium has proposed Chhattisgarh High Court Judge Sanjay K Agarwal for the position. This decision follows ongoing demonstrations by lawyers who accused Justice Sharma of abusing his authority. Prior to this, Supreme Court Judge Sandeep Mehta had sent three separate letters to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant requesting that Justice Sharma be transferred.
