Samsung foldable phone prices set to rise due to chip scarcity
According to a report from The Korea Herald, Samsung is planning to increase the cost of its next-generation foldable smartphones as a result of the persistent shortage of AI memory chips. Citing leaked data from telecom distributors in Korea, the report notes that the Galaxy Z Flip8 is expected to see a price jump of approximately 13% compared to the previous model. Samsung is anticipated to officially launch these new devices on July 22.
