Rupee reaches strongest level in 10 weeks against US dollar
On Thursday, the Indian rupee ended 0.5% stronger at 94.4850 per US dollar, marking its highest close in 10 weeks. This also represented its largest single-day increase in more than a month. Market sentiment got a boost as the RBI's special initiatives drew in $127.23 billion via foreign currency non-resident bank (FCNR(B)) deposits, exceeding what economists had anticipated.
