Robot company compensates users for videos of household tasks to improve AI

Figure has launched an app called Index that offers payment to individuals who film themselves performing routine household activities like laundry, cleaning, and cooking to help teach humanoid robots. According to CEO Brett Adcock, participants have already received approximately $15 million for their video submissions. The platform has reached 264,000 downloads and maintains 44,000 active weekly users, with contributors from 108 nations having uploaded roughly 16 million task-related clips to date.
