Rising inflation in Pakistan makes funeral costs unaffordable
Due to the country's intense inflation, numerous people in Pakistan are finding it difficult to pay for burial services. The price of a funeral has climbed to a range of ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000, fueled by the increased costs of marble, grave excavation, flower petals, incense, and camphor. To ensure their loved ones receive a respectful send-off, many families are being forced to seek help from charities or borrow money from family members. As of June 2026, the inflation rate in Pakistan was recorded at 11.1%.
