Research reveals human eyes remain light-sensitive 10 hours post-mortem

According to a study from the Centre for Genomic Regulation, human eyes are capable of reacting to light flashes as long as 10 hours following death. By creating a method to simulate normal blood flow, the team discovered that retinal structures stayed intact for up to 24 hours. The scientists noted that these findings could potentially aid in the creation of improved therapies for vision-loss conditions.
