RBI's forex swap facility attracts $136 billion in inflows
The Reserve Bank of India has recorded $136 billion in foreign exchange inflows through its dedicated USD-INR swap window. Of this total, $127 billion came from FCNR(B) deposits. Additionally, Overseas Foreign Currency Borrowings (OFCB) contributed $5.2 billion, while External Commercial Borrowings (ECB) brought in $3.8 billion. This swap scheme remains available for OFCBs and ECBs until December 31.
