RBI polymer note tender: Bidders confirm no animal fat and strict firewall from China and Pakistan
According to reports, two international polymer currency producers and one domestic substrate manufacturer have submitted bids following a global Expression of Interest (EOI) from the RBI. The bidders were required to provide a formal guarantee to keep their Indian business activities completely separate from any operations in China or Pakistan, while also certifying that the polymer substrate is free from any animal tallow.
