Rajasthan, MP village heads involved in child begging racket in Gujarat

The Ahmedabad Crime Branch has uncovered an interstate trafficking ring where sarpanches from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh served as intermediaries to supply children for begging operations in Gujarat. Authorities claim these village heads were paid to locate impoverished families for the syndicates. A senior official from the crime branch stated that the sarpanches retained a large portion of the initial payment and also took a 20% cut of the daily money the children collected.
