Punjab and Haryana High Court reaches record of 19 female judges
In a historic first for its century-long existence, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has reached a total of 19 female judges. This milestone follows the oath-taking of nine new additional judges, a group that includes three women. Previously, the joint High Court serving Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh had hit a peak of 18 women judges, after an earlier record of 13.
