Pune: Constable assaulted for telling youths to stop drinking and smoking
A GRP constable stationed in Pune was reportedly assaulted after he advised a group of young men to give up smoking and drinking, acting on a request from their mother. According to police reports, Akshay Bambale sustained an injury to his throat during the altercation, which took place in the vicinity of Pune Railway Station. Authorities have detained four individuals, two of whom are minors, and are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
