Priyanka Gandhi Vadra initially attended the Welham Girls' School, a boarding institution in Dehradun. After the 1984 assassination of her grandmother, Indira Gandhi, she moved to a day school in Delhi. In 1993, she completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University. Later, in 2010, she obtained a postgraduate diploma in Buddhist Studies from the University of Sunderland in the UK.
