Police seize ₹1 crore in fake ₹500 notes from vehicle in Vasai
According to a report by The Times of India, the Vasai-Virar Crime Branch Unit 2 confiscated counterfeit ₹500 bills totaling ₹1 crore from a car close to Shirsad Phata on Monday. Authorities stopped the vehicle on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway and reportedly found approximately 20,000 fake notes inside. Pradeep Patil, a resident of Virar, has been taken into custody as police continue to investigate the broader network behind the fake currency.
