PoK demonstrators refuse to end protests until bodies of the deceased are handed over
Anti-government demonstrations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) have escalated. Protesters have declared that they will maintain their sit-ins and shutdowns until the authorities return the bodies of those who died during military operations. A protest leader stated, “We'll not return without bodies of our martyrs.” Reports indicate that Pakistani officials have sent 8,000 extra security forces and heavy military equipment to the region.
