A postcard featuring the words "Vande Mataram" written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to be launched into space on Skyroot Aerospace’s Vikram-1 vehicle. This mission marks the first time a privately built Indian rocket will try to reach orbit. The Vikram-1, which stands seven storeys high and is named in honor of scientist Vikram Sarabhai, is designed to transport small satellites of up to 350 kg into Low Earth Orbit.
