PM Modi presents Uzbekistan President with Sindarov's World Cup scoresheet
On his latest trip to Tashkent, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev the original handwritten scoresheet from chess Grandmaster Javokhir Sindarov’s World Cup victory. Sindarov secured the FIDE World Cup 2025 title in Goa. Nitin Narang, President of the All India Chess Federation, remarked, "A scoresheet records the moves on a chessboard. Sometimes, it becomes part of a much bigger story."
