PM Modi launches India’s inaugural hydrogen train in Haryana
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India's first hydrogen-fuelled train at the Jind Railway Station in Haryana. This locally manufactured train is set to run along the 89-kilometre stretch between Jind and Sonipat. By utilizing hydrogen fuel cells, the train produces nothing but water vapour, serving as a greener substitute for traditional diesel engines. The train is equipped with 10 coaches and runs on a 3,200 HP propulsion engine.
