Philippines farmer, 21, rescues eagle from monkey attack

A 21-year-old farmer in the Philippines managed to save an injured eagle that was being swarmed by a group of over 30 monkeys. Marven Linoy was harvesting passion fruit in a forest area when he spotted the incident. To scare the monkeys off, he mimicked the sound of a barking dog, which successfully forced them to retreat. The bird, which is the country’s critically endangered national species, was subsequently turned over to officials so it could receive medical care and rehabilitation.
