Pakistan's remittances touch record $41.6 billion in FY26, overtaking export income
During the 2025-26 fiscal year, Pakistan saw a record-breaking $41.6 billion in workers' remittances, which exceeded the nation's overall export earnings of $30.1 billion, according to State Bank of Pakistan data reported by PTI. In June, Saudi Arabia was the top contributor with $829.6 million, and the UAE followed with $792.3 million. The UK and the US were the next biggest sources, bringing in $514.9 million and $296.8 million respectively.
