Pakistan to honor two Mumbai doctors who hid Jinnah's diagnosis

Two Parsi physicians from Mumbai, Dr. Jal Ratanji Patel and Dr. Jal Dhaybho-Koo, are set to receive Pakistan’s top civilian honor, the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, after their deaths. Back in 1946, the pair reviewed X-rays for Muhammad Ali Jinnah and discovered he was suffering from advanced tuberculosis, yet they chose to keep the diagnosis private. According to Pakistan, this discretion played a crucial role in the events leading up to the Partition.
