Pakistan rejects UK's attempt to deport convicted rape gang leader
The Pakistani government has declined to accept a rape gang leader whom the UK is attempting to deport. Shabir Ahmed, who was sentenced in 2012 and recently finished his prison term, has had his British citizenship revoked. However, authorities have been unable to send him to Pakistan because of a legal gap that protects individuals who moved to the UK before 1973 from being deported to certain nations.
