Oxford University to return 39 Naga ancestral remains

Following years of advocacy by the community, the University of Oxford has consented to return 39 human remains of the Naga people that were acquired during the colonial era. The Pitt Rivers Museum, which houses the most extensive collection of Naga artifacts globally, currently keeps approximately 8,000 such items. This transfer, set for November, marks the most significant repatriation of human remains ever conducted by the museum.
