Over 7,000 CBI corruption cases await trial, hundreds stuck for two decades
The Central Vigilance Commission's latest annual report reveals that 7,229 corruption investigations handled by the CBI are currently awaiting trial across various courts. Among these, 409 matters have been pending for more than 20 years, while 1,612 cases have been in the system for under three years. Additionally, 1,347 of these cases have been stuck in the trial process for a period ranging between 15 and 20 years.
