Oracle pushed closer to 'junk' rating by S&P Global, which labels OpenAI a 'key risk'
The world's biggest credit ratings agency, S&P Global, has lowered Oracle's credit rating to 'BBB-' from 'BBB'. This puts the company only one step away from a 'junk' status. S&P Global pointed to OpenAI as a "key credit risk" for the tech giant. The agency explained, "If OpenAI were unable to pay Oracle, we believe Oracle could be left with massive data centre leases that it might be unable to exit."
