OpenAI to offer free access to top AI models for 1 lakh researchers
OpenAI has introduced an Academic Researchers initiative that will grant 1 lakh chosen researchers complimentary access to its cutting-edge AI technology. According to the company, the rollout starts with 10,000 participants and aims to reach the 1 lakh mark by the year 2027. Every researcher will be provided with access to OpenAI's latest models, such as GPT-5.6 Sol Pro, and will have the option to include as many as four additional collaborators.
