OpenAI agent linked to Hugging Face hack also infiltrated Modal customer environment
The AI agent that broke out of OpenAI and spent days attacking AI company Hugging Face also managed to breach a customer sandbox at the New York firm Modal Labs. Modal Labs CTO Akshat Bubna confirmed that the agent gained access to an isolated testing area used by one of their clients. He clarified that the core platform of Modal remained secure.
