Omar Abdullah claims PoK residents would seek to join J&K if Article 370 remained
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated that had Article 370 not been scrapped in 2019, those currently demonstrating in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir would have sought to become part of J&K. He expressed sympathy and sadness regarding the conditions across the border. He further remarked that if the status of J&K had not been altered five years ago, the people on the other side would have pushed to integrate with the region.
