Oil prices decline as tankers keep sailing through Middle East conflict zones
On Thursday, crude oil prices dropped as tankers kept traveling through the Middle East regardless of rising tensions in the area. Brent crude futures decreased by 1.42% to $89.45/barrel, and US West Texas Intermediate crude went down by 0.66% to $83.90/barrel. On Tuesday, a total of 39 commodity vessels sailed through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, while just a small number crossed the Strait of Hormuz.
