On Wednesday, the Malkangiri Forest Department in Odisha recovered 155 live flap-shelled turtles. Officials acted on a tip-off and stopped a three-wheeler near Tamasa village while on patrol. The animals were being moved illegally, and authorities are currently looking for the individual responsible for the smuggling attempt. The turtles are now safely under the care of the forest department.
