NPCI to enable UPI AutoPay portability across different apps
According to a Mint report, the NPCI is working on a feature to make UPI AutoPay compatible across various UPI platforms. This update would allow users to transfer active payment mandates to a new app without the need to cancel and recreate them. The change aims to simplify the process of moving recurring payments like SIPs, insurance premiums, loan installments, and subscriptions when switching between apps. Additionally, a unified dashboard for UPI AutoPay could assist users in monitoring their account balances, tracking future debits, and identifying subscriptions they may have overlooked.
