Norovirus outbreak hits over 120 on US cruise ship
A Princess Cruises vessel saw more than 120 passengers and staff members fall ill with norovirus while on a 20-day journey from San Francisco to Alaska and Canada. The ship, which was transporting 3,032 travelers and 1,144 crew, has returned to port in San Francisco. Norovirus is a very infectious illness that leads to swelling of the stomach and intestines, typically transmitted via tainted food or infected surfaces.
