On Wednesday, NITI Aayog vice chairman Ashok Lahiri urged the Karnataka administration to explore the creation of a 'second Bengaluru' to alleviate the burden on the state capital. Lahiri noted that Karnataka possesses significant potential for fast-paced growth and recommended that the state formulate a strategy to boost agricultural output in its arid regions. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that these recommendations will be integrated into the state's future planning.
