Nigeria oil theft incident leaves at least 37 dead from toxic gas
At least 37 individuals lost their lives in Nigeria's Rivers state during an alleged attempt to siphon crude oil from a transport ship. According to an advocacy organization, the victims were overcome by high-pressure toxic fumes while drawing oil from an unauthorized tapping site. Several other people are still unaccounted for.
