New 28-km elevated road proposed to ease Bengaluru traffic
Bengaluru authorities are proposing a 28-km elevated corridor that will link Yeshwanthpur to KR Puram. The route is set to run through major spots such as IISc, Mekhri Circle, Jayamahal, and Halasuru Lake. This toll-funded initiative is estimated at ₹3,500 crore and is designed to slash the commute between Yeshwanthpur and KR Puram from 90 minutes down to just 28-30 minutes.
