Nepal tunnel collapse: Two workers found alive after nine days
Sanjaya Shah and Kabir Maharjan were successfully rescued from the Trishuli 3A hydropower tunnel in Nepal, nine days following the flash floods that occurred on August 26. The two men were recovered from a depth of 170 meters. Officials are hopeful that between 30 and 40 other individuals might still be surviving inside due to the presence of air pockets. Currently, the confirmed death toll stands at 1,259, while 5,053 people remain unaccounted for.
