Nepal's President Ram Chandra Paudel has extended his thanks to India for the "generous support and solidarity" provided in the wake of the catastrophic floods that claimed approximately 600 lives in the country. He stated, “We offer our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Government and people of India for the tragic loss of Indian lives.” In response to the disaster, India dispatched 62 tonnes of relief supplies along with an 11-person team specialized in medical and tunnel rescue operations.
