Nepal faces up to ₹48,000 crore rebuilding bill following floods
Nepal’s Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle stated that the nation might require between ₹38,173 crore and ₹47,717 crore to recover from the destruction left by flash floods. This figure represents approximately 10% of the country's total economy. Wagle noted that the funds needed would be significantly lower than the amount required for the 2015 earthquake recovery. The flash floods, triggered by a glacier collapse, resulted in the deaths of more than 600 individuals.
