Neeru Dhanda has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian woman to secure a gold medal in the trap event at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup held in Lonato, Italy. This victory marks India's first individual medal in the competition in 16 years, with the last being Seema Tomar’s silver in 2010. Dhanda, who currently holds the national champion title, also previously earned a gold medal at last year's Asian Championship.
