New figures from the Federal Reserve reveal that approximately 49% of Americans between 18 and 29 are residing with their parents, marking a 12 percentage point increase since 2019. The study points to rising rent prices and the overall cost of housing as primary drivers for this trend. Additionally, 47% of individuals in this age bracket reported receiving monetary support from outside their home to cover their living costs.
