Naukri: India sees 14% growth in white-collar jobs this August
According to the Naukri JobSpeak Index, white-collar recruitment in India climbed by 14% in August 2026 compared to the same month last year. The auto and auto-ancillary sectors saw a 19% boost, while healthcare and retail recorded growth of 16% and 15%, respectively. Additionally, positions in AI and ML surged by 31%, and job opportunities for freshers rose by 15%. Despite these gains, hiring dipped 6% compared to July, a trend that may be linked to the timing of the festive season.
