Nashik Kumbh Mela hit by ₹500 crore fake tender scam
Bogus offline tenders valued between ₹400 and ₹500 crore were reportedly issued in Nashik under the guise of the Kumbh Mela. These fraudulent documents covered a range of items, including police equipment and various supplies. Additionally, fake work orders were allegedly generated by misusing the names of Nashik Municipal Commissioner Dr. Pravin Gedam and Kumbh Mela Commissioner Singh.
