Mystery over how non-native orangutans ended up abandoned in Odisha forest

A group of five young orangutans was discovered in a forest located in Odisha's Balasore district. According to Balasore DFO Indalkar Pratik Prakash, it is highly improbable that the animals arrived there by themselves given their young age and restricted mobility. The Forest Department believes that humans might have been involved in the incident. "Smuggling is a possibility, but we cannot state that conclusively right now," Prakash stated.
