Mumbai's water stock reaches 7.18% following heavy downpour

Continuous heavy rain across Mumbai and its surrounding catchment zones has pushed the city's drinking water reserves to 7.18 percent of their total capacity. Among the seven reservoirs supplying the city, Vihar Lake currently holds the most usable water. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for further intense rainfall throughout Mumbai and the Konkan belt.
